How will we use your data?

The Ipswich Social Mobility Alliance is a true alliance, with work carried out by staff in member organisations. The ISMA is not an organisation in its own right.

In 2022 and 2023 leadership and coordination capacity for the ISMA is provided by ASSET Education. Your data - whether shared with us through participation in the Ipswich Festival of Voices, by attendance at events, correspondence through this website or our ipswichsma@gmail.co.uk email address, or by subscription to our mailing list - will be stored and processed in line with ASSET Education's privacy policy which can be found here.

The ISMA and ASSET Education are committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. ASSET Education's safeguarding statement can be found here.

Ipswich Festival of Voices

During the period of consultation in Spring and Summer 2023 called the "Ipswich Festival of Youth Voices", organisations working with or for children and young people are invited to submit their views on their aspirations, challenges and ambitions for the town. These views may be anonymous, or take the form of photos and videos. We will share these views on the Festival map here. The Festival Map will be in the public domain between January 2023 and December 2023. In submitting views that make children and young people identifiable participating organisations must secure the appropriate permissions to share their data in this way.

At the end of this period, some quotes may be used anonymously in subsequent reports and publications, but all identifiable information will be destroyed. The Alliance works in partnership with the #iwill movement, who may contact participants requesting permission to use submitted views for a longer period of time on their "Ipswich: Town of Social Action" map.

If you would like to unsubscribe from the ISMA mailing list at any time you can do so here. To request removal of a submission to the Ipswich Festival of Youth Voices map please email ipswichsma@gmail.com.
